US 97, SR 20 work causes temporary slowdowns

Okanogan County residents should expect temporary slowdowns on US 97 and SR 20 starting next week due to bridge inspections and water line work.

US 97 near Omak will have one-lane traffic from 1-3 p.m. on September 8 for a bridge inspection. US 97 south of Tonasket will have alternating one-lane traffic from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on September 9. SR 20 near Twisp will have alternating one-lane traffic from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on September 8-10 while water lines are repaired.
