Okanogan County residents and travelers will face traffic disruptions on US 97 and SR 20 this week due to infrastructure work, according to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) records.
US 97 will have alternating one-lane, two-way traffic south of Tonasket from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sept. 9 for a bridge inspection. SR 20 near Twisp will have similar restrictions from 7 p.m. Sept. 8 to 6 a.m. Sept. 10 for water line maintenance.
Drivers are advised to expect slowdowns, reduced speed limits, and flagger-controlled traffic during these periods.
