The Rowe Creek Complex wildfire, ignited by lightning on July 15-16, has prompted new Level 3 'Go' evacuations in Wheeler County, Oregon, effective July 22 at 6:30pm.
BLM has implemented closures across all BLM-administered land along both sides of the John Day River from Service Creek north to the Columbia River due to rapid fire growth and extreme regional fire activity.
Residents near the John Day River corridor should monitor the Wheeler County interactive evacuation map for real-time updates and follow official guidance on evacuation routes and shelters.
