Omak City Council approved a new labor agreement for Public Works Department employees on January 28, 2026, replacing the expired contract that ended December 31, 2025. The agreement covers 2026 through 2028 and includes 3.5% annual wage increases effective January 1, 2026, with similar increases for 2027 and 2028.
The contract removes added pay for leads and certifications while increasing longevity pay by $25 for each five-year increment. City Administrator Todd McDaniel stated the agreement was negotiated with the Mayor and Personnel Committee, and crew members accepted the terms. The contract becomes effective January 1, 2026, and will run through December 31, 2028.
