The Mogote Ridge Fire has grown to 40 acres as of September 11, 2026, with a new spot fire increasing its size since Thursday evening.

The fire is burning around Mogote Peak and between Canjilon and El Rito in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. The Continental Divide Trail and two Forest Service roads remain closed for public safety.
