The Little Giant Fire was started by lightning on July 15, 2026, and is located 30 miles NW of Leavenworth, WA.
The fire is in the Chiwawa River drainage on the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. It was originally estimated at 5 acres.
Rappellers were dispatched for initial attack, and a 21-person initial attack crew arrived on July 17. Minimal aerial support was available to support firefighters on the ground.
