The Crooked Fire, a 1038-acre wildfire 14 miles northeast of Idaho City, is being managed under a full suppression strategy with public and firefighter safety as the top priority.
A Closure Order is in effect to protect public safety and provide space for firefighting operations. Idaho Team 1, a Type 3 Incident Management Team, will assume command at 0600 tomorrow morning.
The fire remains in a steep, rocky, heavily forested area with ongoing challenges from burning debris, rocks, and falling hazard trees.
