The Beehive Fire, first reported on June 26 in the Tusas Valley, New Mexico, has been fully contained as of July 13, 2026, according to InciWeb records. Management of the incident was transferred back to Carson National Forest after containment neared completion.
The fire was discovered by a detection flight surveying the forest following lightning activity. Southwest Incident Management Team 3, led by Incident Commander Steven Griego, coordinated firefighting resources to protect public safety and natural resources.
