The Bare Fire, located north of Bare Pass and east of Bare Creek on the Big Piney Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest, was declared 100% contained on August 15, 2026.
The fire, caused by lightning, crossed into Bureau of Land Management land and private land in Sublette County. The incident involved the Bridger-Teton National Forest and was active until containment was achieved. Fire perimeters and points are approximate.
